Indian Creek Plaza in Downtown Caldwell had its inaugural Tuesday Concert night on July 10. Plenty of people were in attendance, with good music, good food and good neighbors. There was a giant slide for the kids and a rock climbing wall for both kids and adults. Several food vendors were there at the plaza, which has just been completed as part of the revitalization of Downtown Caldwell.
The new, large stage at the Indian Creek Plaza in Downtown Caldwell was a perfect place for the band to play. Colorado-based “Cosmic Americana” band Grant Farm Band gave a great show, with their high energy country-rock/jam band flavored musical offerings. Meanwhile, you could walk over to the water area and get your feet wet. Kids were also having a fun time there. Nearby, a volunteer was also cooling down people’s feet with a hose. For a relaxed water view, people were walking over to the seating area overlooking Indian Creek, which runs through Downtown Caldwell. It is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the rushing water.

Elsewhere on the plaza, various booths were set up from groups to inform and entertain. Radio Boise had a booth and also the West Valley Medical Center. Ice cream, sausages, empanadas and other treats were also available from places like Gaucho’s Food Truck and Spoonthumb Ice Cream. Greeting many of the visitors and even posing for photos with them was on of Caldwell’s finest, Sgt. Finley of the Caldwell Police Department.
The Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell is also centrally located in downtown, walking distance from many fine restaurants, bars, shops and other businesses. The Summer Concert Series will continue through August 28th, followed by upcoming events such as a Friday Food Truck Rally, Exercise Classes and a thursday Starlight Cinema Series. Starting in 2019, the Caldwell Farmer’s Market will make their home at the Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell.
