The Boys of Summer return to Ontario, Oregon with their Boys of Summer Endless Summer 2018 Tour to perform their tribute to the Eagles at the Four Rivers Cultural Center. The show, on Friday, August 24, brings the music of the Eagles to the greater Treasure Valley as part of the Boys of Summer Endless Summer 2018 Tour which has played at 45-plus venues including large festivals, major wineries, concert halls and county fairs so far. The Boys of Summer have played here before, prompting drummer Jim Williamson to say, “We are excited, this will actually be our 3rd visit to Ontario, we have been well received on the previous shows, got a lot of love. Really looking forward to our 3rd time there..”
Known as ‘the most authentic-sounding Eagles band in America’, the Boys of Summer consist of James Williamson, drums-vocals; Darrel Monson, guitar/vocals; Dave Williams, guitar/vocals; Chad Quist, guitar/vocals; Chris Turbis, keyboards/saxophones/acoustic guitar/vocals; and Rich Berglund, bass/vocals. With several decades of performing the Eagles classic tunes, the Boys, who are life-long friends as well as hard-working musicians, have toured for years bringing performances of some of the greatest songs ever written to audiences clamoring for great live versions of these tunes. As Jim Williamson said to The Boise Beat, “The Eagles are the most loved band by such a wide age group of fans, from young to old, and have these timeless songs that keep getting bigger and seasoned, with age, kinda like fine wine.We are fortunate enough to be able to play their music with the respect that they need. The fans, and us, merge somewhere in-between, all being Eagles fans”.
The Boys of Summer Endless Summer 2018 Tour is not just a copy of the Eagles tunes, however. The Boys of Summer are constantly challenged to keep their shows fresh and create an atmosphere that has fans up and moving to the music.Touring live is what they do, so Jim Williamson said that “Well, the timeless thing with these songs is at the top of what we like to be musically! The growing every day of the Eagles Greatest Hits, the largest selling record ever. And the reason for us is, it’s not a simple task to play these songs, constant vocal rehearsals, along with the guitar army of licks and parts that need to be specifically correct, keeps us on our toes, and musically rewards us at every show. Thats the freshness that we love”.
The upcoming Boys of Summer Endless Summer 2018 Tour will play at the family-friendly Four Rivers Cultural Center at 7pm on Friday, August 24. Tickets for the event are $12.61. The Four Rivers Cultural Center, which contains a museum, Japanese Garden and art gallery as well as the concert venue, is located at 676 SW 5thAvenue in Ontario, Oregon, just across the Snake River and less than an hour’s drive from downtown Boise.
This promises to be a great show, with all the tunes Eagles fans love such as Peaceful Easy Feeling, Life in the Fast Lane, Hotel California, Witchy Woman, Take it Easy and many more. The Boys of Summer have brought a great Eagles tribute live experience to many shows over the past decades and the Boys of Summer Endless Summer 2018 Tour will be an eagerly awaited show for all those in the Treasure Valley who remember and enjoy the music of one the the greatest bands ever.
