The British Invasion was back in Meridian on Sunday as seventy classic British cars and three classic British motorcycles converged on The Village at Meridian for the Southwest Idaho All British Field Meet. To top it off, the tribute band West Abbey Road provided a great chance to enjoy live Beatles tunes during the afternoon. The event, put on by two Idaho British Car Clubs, benefitted the Meridian Food Bank and brought a large crowd to look at the beautiful restored vehicles. The owners polished all the cars to a high shine, allowing the cars to be seen at their best. There was a wide range, including Austin/Austin Healy, Morris, Triumph, MG, Sunbeam, Daimler, Land Rover and of course Jaguar. There was even a classic Mini Cooper for everyone to see and a sexy Lotus sports car too.

The event was part of a weekend planned by the Southwest Idaho British Sports Car Club and the Idaho British Car Club. Members brought cars from not only in Idaho, but Oregon and other states too. At the end, trophies were awarded to the best cars. It was an excellent day, both for the drivers and also for the many guests who enjoyed the up-close cars and who also enjoyed supporting the Meridian Food Bank through donations.
