Blues Saviors featuring Tim LangfordThe Blues Saviors featuring Tim Langford will be performing 2 concerts here at the Riverside Hotel’s famed Sapphire Room on Friday night, October 23, 2020. This musical event, brought to the Sapphire Room is being presented by the Boise Blues Society. Tim “Too Slim” Langford is confident everyone in the audience will feel comfortable at the show; and said,

“We are so looking forward to play a live show here in Boise again!!
Every precaution that can be taken to make this a safe show was thought of by the Sapphire Room and Riverside Hotel. They have been coordinating with the Boise Blues Society to cover all the bases for social distancing to make the show as safe as possible. Please join us as we are so happy to be able to perform for you all at this beautiful venue. The show has been divided into two separate shows to create enough space between the tables to allow for safe social distancing separation”.

Blue Saviors featuring Tim Langford LiveThe Blues Saviors featuring Tim Langford have been playing the blues for most of their life. Tim “Too Slim” Langford has playing blistering versions of material from artists such as John Mayall, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top and the Stones for over 35 years. Tim is also famous from national and international tours with his group Too Slim and the Taildraggers. He brings stellar lead guitar and vocals to the Blues Saviors.

Tim “Cueball Slim” Childs on 2nd guitar and backup guitar and vocals adds a lot of depth to the Blues Saviors. Bob Umphress on bass and Barry Carlman on drums anchor an amazing rhythm section, holding down the stage on music from Los Lobos, Elmore James and Robin Trower as well as originals penned by Tim “Too Slim” Langford. Having played together for several years in the Treasure Valley, the Blues Saviors featuring Tim “Too Slim” Langford are known for their amazing live performances.

The Sapphire Room has always been considered one of the top music venues in the Treasure Valley. Just before COVID-19 hit, they completed a remodel, making a much more practical room with better sight lines and a larger seating area. For their re-opening to maintain COVID guidelines for both CDH (Central District Health) and CDC (Center for Disease Control, National) the Sapphire Room has several policies in place now.
Operation to be at 50% or less capacity

All tables are social distanced or have a physical barrier per CDH recommendations
Extra ventilation with a cold plasma technology ionization process installed
Only one party allowed at a table. No partial tables will be sold

All patrons will be temperature checked. Any guest exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or 100.4 degree or above temperate will not be admitted and will receive a 100% refund.
Masks required except when eating and drinking.

To accommodate everyone who wants to attend safely, the Sapphire Room and the Boise Blues Society will be presenting two shows on October 23. Guests may purchase tickets for one show or purchase a ticket for both shows separately. This show is family friendly, but all children including babies must have a ticket. No babies in arms. Dinner and drinks are available before and during the shows.
