Too Slim Drags His Taildraggers into Boise’s Sapphire Room this Saturday night, April 16 for a great evening of blues and rock by one of masters of the genre. Tim “Too Slim” Langford, who brings blistering guitar work as well as tasteful vocals to Too Slim and the Taildraggers, heads up the group. Rounding out the trio are Zach Kasik on bass/vocals and Jeff “Shakey” Fowlkes on drums/vocals. They are veterans of many shows at both the Sapphire Room and the Sandbar in Boise’s Riverside Hotel. Each time they play in Boise, they always have a new surprise or two. Sometimes it is a new original tune that you’ll be running through your head as you leave the show. Other times, it will be a tasty cover of a great blues rock tune that you will get you up and dancing!
Of course, having 13 albums to fall back on gives an opportunity to pull out a golden chestnut or two. Plus, Too Slim and the Taildraggers are still writing new tunes, so you never know—there might be a new favorite to catch your attention any time you go to a Too Slim and the Taildraggers show. Albums in the past such as The Remedy and High Desert Heat show why Too Slim and the Taildraggers have been the recipients of many awards. Blood Moon was voted Blues Rock Album of the Year at the 2016 “Jimi Awards” and was also nominated for Blues Rock Album of the Year at the 2016 Blues Blast Music Awards.
It has been a while since the Taildraggers have landed at the Sapphire Room. Too Slim and the Taildraggers are appearing at the Sapphire Room on Saturday, April 16.
