Ed. Note: Photographer Terry Welch spent plenty of time walking around Treefort Music Fest 2022, catching views of the performers, artists, chefs, volunteers, guests and others who made up this amazing event. In this selection, the first in an upcoming series, Terry concentrates on some of the musicians who make Treefort the event that artists and guests around the world travel to. Terry found plenty of performers that shined, no matter the size of the stage or the quantity of people in the crowd. The important part is the music these performers played, capturing the ears (and eyes) of the throngs of guests who came to hear many different genres of music.
Long time resident and photographer Terry Welch has gone back a long way with The Boise Beat’s coverage of Treefort. He knows music; and how to pull the emotions that the artists generate and seek to send to the guests. Of course, one of the nice things about the Treefort Music Fest 2022 is that with so many different genres represented, ir’s nice to go hear a group that you’ve never heard before. And some of the best shows are the unexpected ones. Walking into places like the Main Stage or the Neurolux early can yield a nice view of a group you’ve never even heard of!
