The Boise Selfie Museum is a new concept that is opening in Downtown Boise. The concept is sweeping the Pacific Northwest now. Owner Rachael Danner described it, saying that “my concept was really inspired by the coming of age of this generation. They need content, either for entrepreneurs, Maybe their work does marketing for them or they need to do who need marketing for themselves. It’s for people who want to expand and make new friends. Or it’s for people who want to have a good time, maybe go on a date night. They might want to have a family experience or just go out with their girls. It’s a whole experience, where they want to go out and just have fun. It’s like, ‘Just go out and have a good time! And maybe get some work done!”. She feels that it might appeal to anyone, but definitely those ages from 14 to even 34. She said, “You can come and have a fun time, or come when we have our DJ nights; and there’s the bar (the 10th Street Station) across the hall. You can bring the alcohol in, listen to some music or just hang out and have a fun time. It’s definitely about the experience and culture of Boise”.
The Boise Selfie Museum has many different ‘rooms’ you can enjoy, from a formal sitting ‘room’ to fun rooms like a banana swing or a gumball machine wall. There is lighting available that can be moved around to get better pictures. There are also several camera phone stands that can be used to put your phone camera into. Most cameras have a timer that’s designed for that. They are also getting remote controls that can trigger cameras. Finally, they have partnered with Boise Pets, who will come in on request to take professional pics for those who want to of their furry friends.
The Grand Opening week started showing the public what’s available to see, however Rachael has been working hard adding more and more ‘rooms’ to provide different scenes and concepts. The rooms can be used to create scenarios for family, business, kids, animals and several other backdrops for the Boise Selfie Museum. Whether it is for Facebook, Instagram, Bumble. a webpage or any other media use, the Boise Selfie Museum is a great way to add variety as well as fun to your photo collection.
