Taking place on the Trailer Park Stage at the Gold Mine Grill &amp; Saloon, the event isn&#8217;t your ordinary show from the usual concert promoter. She told The Boise Beat, \u201c<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I decided to put on this event because I had to come up with a senior project that could improve community involvement. I also wanted to do something that hadn\u2019t really been done in Idaho City before.\u201d She chose the theme of the Band Jam because \u201cI knew there are many bands in the Boise area that were either small or just not had a lot of listeners. Speaking about the participation of his band The Scenic Route, guitarist and songwriter Thomas Wilson said, \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I\u2019m really excited that the Idaho Band Jam Event was created by Felicity. It\u2019s not often that you have 6 or 7 local bands playing at one venue all day. Not only will this be a really fun time, but it also helps all the bands build relations with each other and with each band&#8217;s audience so maybe there can be another one of these that\u2019s bigger sometime. I was originally going to do it at a park, but decided that with spring weather it may not have been good on the day of the event. My mentor, Steve Twilegar, is the owner of the Gold Mine where he has had many bands and solo artists perform. I talked to him because it was a known place for live music and had the space to have heating if weather was cold.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Thomas, who also plays with <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/theboisebeat.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/25\/brooke-nicole-and-the-jake-leg-band-blues-revival-to-play-shows-at-sapphire-room\/\">SUDA<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/theboisebeat.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/25\/brooke-nicole-and-the-jake-leg-band-blues-revival-to-play-shows-at-sapphire-room\/\">Blind Harpdog&#8217;s All Star Band<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, is looking forward to performing his original music at the Idaho City Band Jam 2020. He said about their sound, \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">My music combines old blues\/rock with a psychedelic indie vibe. The goal in my music is to share my own experience and perception of life to an audience and connect with the audience via what they hear. Overall I hope to give hope and a sense that we\u2019re all human to the world. The Trailer Park Stage, on the Gold Mine&#8217;s back patio should be a great location for the show. Featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a full bar, the Gold Mine Grill and Saloon will make it easy to enjoy some good local music\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">as well as a variety of food and drink. The nearby Gold Mine Hotel, under the same management, will make it easy for those who want to come for the whole weekend to find a nice place to stay within a short walk of the Idaho City Historical District<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The event has been planned to be family friendly so it is a great way to have a fun family day up in fresh-air country. The show is free, although donations will gladly be accepted.
