It came nice and creamy, with a thick straw standing up in it. At first I was a little confused with the color, but then realized to my delight that they had added fresh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allrecipes.com\/article\/what-is-a-huckleberry\/\">huckleberries<\/a> to it! The slightly tart huckleberries toned down the sweetness of the nice chunks of Butterfinger candy bar in the milkshake just enough to bring out the flavors even more of both. Having been a milkshake aficionado most of my life, I have to say this was easily one of the best shakes I have ever had. I found myself digging out every chunk and berry in the bottom of the milkshake. The sign in front at Fanci Freez in Boise mentioned that the Huckleberry Burger was a Fan Favorite and that piqued my interest. I\u2019ve been a big fan of the Fresh Huckleberry French Toast at <a href=\"https:\/\/theboisebeat.com\/index.php\/2019\/06\/25\/terris-cafe-monte-cristo-sandwich-is-this-the-best-brunch-food-ever\/\">Terri\u2019s Cafe<\/a> in Meridian, so I thought I might give a burger with huckleberries a try. I asked, and they were indeed fresh huckleberries that Fanci Freez obtains. The gentleman at the window suggested cheese of course, but had an interesting suggestion. He thought that the blue cheese crumbles went especially well with the huckleberries. How could I resist a suggestion like that! It always makes sense to listen to the people who know.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4034\" src=\"https:\/\/theboisebeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Fanci-Freez-Positive-sign-2020-300x236.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/>There is plenty of table seating at Fanci Freez in Boise, as well as counter seating at what looks to be a rectangular fire pit. They also have a drive-thru and pickup <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">available too. I grabbed a counter seat and very soon my name was called for the milkshake. A few minutes later the hamburger was ready. It was on a nice bun, with some thin sliced onion. You can also get lettuce on it. The patty had a nice sauce on it. The surprise of course was how well the blue cheese and the huckleberries went together. The tart berries in their sauce with the blue cheese made a delectable combination. I would certainly recommend this as a burger to try at Fanci Freez in Boise. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Fanci Freez in Boise certainly has some amazing milkshakes. I\u2019ve been to the Meridian one in the past and can vouch for their ice cream cones too. Boise though is not a place trying to look like a malt shop from the 50s.
