The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sifta.org\">Southern Idaho Food Trucks Association\u00a0<\/a>is running a series of Food Truck Wednesday Nights in Boise. Yesterday, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thekiltedkod.com\">Kilted Kod Food Truck<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TonysTamalesandCatering\/\">Tony&#8217;s Tamales<\/a> were at one of the locations, Journey Church in Boise. The number of food trucks varies at Journey Church and the other location, at the Amity Campus-Cathedral of the Rockies. Info can be obtained from the group&#8217;s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IdahoFoodTruckFeast\/\"> Food Truck Feast\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IdahoFoodTruckFeast\/\">Facebook Page<\/a>\u00a0 about which trucks will be at either location.<\/p>\n<p>Tony&#8217;s Tamales had some delicious pork tamales, moist and with lots of spicy flavor. Tony Chavez learned tamale making when he was young growing up in Texas and brought his family&#8217;s flavors and recipes to his truck. The Chicken Enchilada was delicious, the Green Chile Sauce a nice complement to the enchilada.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_673\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-673\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-673\" src=\"https:\/\/theboisebeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Flaky-Pacific-Cod-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Flaky Pacific Cod fried perfectly from the Kilted Kod Food Truck in Boise\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-673\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Flaky Pacific Cod fried perfectly from the Kilted Kod Food Truck<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Kilted Kod&#8217;s fish dinner was excellent, a nice crackly crust surrounding a flaky piece of Pacific cod. The fish, available in 2, 3 or 4 piece dinners, was perfectly cooked. It rested on a bed of seasoned chips (fries). The seasoning was really good on the chips, a secret recipe of owner Kevin McIntosh&#8217;s truck that has won &#8216;Best of&#8221; awards several times. Kilted Kod also has a very popular Chicken Dinner.<\/p>\n<p>The event continues every Wednesday through Nov. 1.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Photo Gallery below.
