The Billy Blues Band ushers in summer, bringing a solid mix of covers and original tunes, makes a return to the Riverside Hotel on Tuesday, June 26. The Billy Blues Band, featured before in The Boise Beat, this time brings their lush, blues-rock sound to the Sandbar, the outside venue so popular during the summer months at the Riverside Hotel in Boise. The band, anchored by solid vocalists Becky Blake and Michelle Eastland, is led by vocalist/guitarist Bill Arnold. Brian Palmer will also perform as guest lead guitarist that evening.
Since their formation in February 2017, the Billy Blues Band has impressed everyone with their blend of classic rock, blues, Motown and soul. Currently, this high in-demand band has been doing many shows across the Treasure Valley, including at the Riverside’s own Sapphire Room. The upcoming show at the Sandbar, from 6-9pm, is noteworthy as it is an outside, family-friendly place perfect for these perfect early summer evenings. With influences that stretch from Muddy Waters to the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Otis Redding and many more, a Billy Blues Band show is at once both high-energy and yet deeply respectful of their blues roots.
Also coming up, on Saturday, June 30, the Billy Blues Band returns to WilliB’s Saloon. Expect plenty of dancing, good drinks and great beer at this popular local place. Everyone in the crowd at WilliB’s seemed to love the band’s first appearance there, so this will be a popular show to see too. As the Billy Blues Band ushers in summer, it looks to be a great musical season ahead for all of us.
